Where are we located? We are located in Colchester, CT. This is our one and only location. Can you come visit the pups? We do not allow visitors until the puppies have been vaccinated and are ready to go to forever homes. Before vaccinations puppies are very susceptible to illnesses, which can easily be tracked on to our property by dirt in shoes, so we limit traffic on our property to keep the puppies safe and as healthy as possible. I do offer forever families weekly updates with photos and sometimes videos, as well as personality updates so you can feel as much a part of the process as possible while keeping pups safe during their first 8wks of life.Do we ship/transport puppies? We are happy to now offer transport or puppies can be picked up in Colchester, CT. Transport is offered through a transport company I have personally worked with when purchasing my own pups. Transport fees are paid directly to the transport company. Is a deposit required? Not in all cases. If the puppies are 8wks or older we may just ask for the full payment when you arrive. If you are looking to hold a puppy so you are guaranteed one once they are 8 weeks old, we do require a $500 non-refundable deposit that does go towards the total cost of your pup. This deposit is non-refundable because we are guaranteeing you that puppy and no longer advertising it as available. If something were to come up causing you to have to delay a puppy, the non-refundable deposit can be transferred one time to a future litter. How often do we have puppies available? At this time, we currently have 2 litters per yearHow much are puppies? This price varies depending on the parents of the litter, their AKC titles, OFA tests, etc. Our next planned litter is expected to start at $2,800. Males & females are the same price always. What do puppies come with? When you pick up a puppy it will have its first puppy vaccine, vet check, first deworming, AKC registration and a small bag of extra goodies from Rott Karma Kennels. What do you feed puppies? We currently are a part of the Purina Pro Club and start puppies out with Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy Chicken & Rice recipe. We do recommend that if you are going to switch the puppy to a different food you slowly transition them over one week. We also strongly recommend that rottweilers be kept on a food specifically for large breed dogs. How much should I feed my new puppy? I strongly recommend following feeding instructions on the bag of food you are using. Brands as well as recipes may have different nutritional value, so it is important to base feedings off of the brand and recipe you are using. Puppies and dogs may eat less or more than the recommended amount, depending on exercise and each individual animal, so adjust as necessary. Typically, the recommended feeding amount is the maximum amount a puppy would eat. How many vaccines do puppies need? Typically, a puppy needs 3 sets of puppy vaccines with 3-4 weeks between each round of shots. The puppy will receive its first puppy vaccine days before it is 8 weeks old and able to go to its forever home. Depending on your location your vet may recommend more.
