We do recommend that if you are going to switch the puppy to a different food you slowly transition them over one week. How much should I feed my new puppy? I strongly recommend following feeding instructions on the bag of food you are using. Brands as well as recipes may have different nutritional value so it is important to base feedings off of the brand and recipe you are using. Puppies and dogs may eat less or more than the recommended amount, depending on exercise and each individual animal, so adjust as necessary. Typically the recommended feeding amount is the maximum amount a puppy would eat. How many vaccines do puppies need? Typically a puppy needs 3 sets of puppy vaccines with 3-4 weeks between each round of shots. The puppy will receive it's first puppy vaccine days before it is 8 weeks old and able to go to its forever home. Depending on your location your vet may recommend more.
